Ready to take your wheel-throwing skills to the next level? This Level 2 course is designed for students who are comfortable centering and throwing basic forms such as bowls and mugs and are eager to grow their skills and confidence at the wheel.
Through dynamic demonstrations and hands-on practice, students will explore more advanced techniques including throwing taller and larger forms, centering increased amounts of clay, throwing off the hump, and creating more complex pieces such as vases and lidded vessels.
Beyond form, this class also dives into surface design, moving past basic glazing to explore decorative and finishing techniques that enhance both form and expression. Students are encouraged to think creatively, pushing their work beyond pure functionality and developing a stronger personal voice in clay.

Cost includes 25 lbs of clay, firings, and glazes.There is an opportunity for you to attend TWO open studio work days (no instruction). Details on times and dates provided on the first day of class.
